Excellent boutique hotel. King bed, nice bathriom, kitchenette. Swimming pool, small gym. Friendly, helpful staff. Amazing!

My husband and I stayed in Cotonou, Benin during the winter holidays (Dec 2016) to visit family. It was my first time visiting and the the heat and humidity was brutal. I couldn't deal with the no AC in the place we were residing. So, we were on the hunt for hotels that met our American standards and sadly to say none didn't. Until we discovered Urban Suites.
This beautiful hotel was life for us. It felt like our home away from home. An oasis tucked away on a residential street. It is centrally located. The hotel is well designed, which I can appreciate as I'm an interior decorating aficionado. The rooms are just beautiful, intimate, high-end, and some come equipped with a kitchenette (my favorite part because it allowed us to cook on occasion).
The amenities included were free WiFi, cable and breakfast, and access to bar and pool. Breakfast was served in your room or at the bar. It was quite a spread and very appetizing. You had the option to customize your order, which was a nice touch. The WiFi was very reliable. The front desk was accommodating with any request we had (sometimes at an additional charge depending on your request like ordering food and seasoning to cook with).
The one and only issue I had was it was difficult to find. Our taxi driver was having a hard time finding the location. I think if they provided some sort of pick up service, that would be awesome. Since it''s not easy to navigate the city of Cotonou, something like a complimentary pick up within a certain mile radius and additional charge outside of that radius would had made my day, but other than that this place is fabulous and I'm staying here the next time I visit Cotonou.response / report this review -

Great hotel. We were surprised by the quality and the service provided. Their breakfast was just awesome. Wifi. Parking lot is outside on the street but they do have 24 hour security on site. Will go back for sure.
