Tree of Life is a miracle in the desert. A tree, surrounded by.. literally nothing, has been standing alone for 400 + years. Which means, it has survived 400 + plus desert summers. This is definitely a must visit place for tree lovers!!

Visited the tree of life several times. located in the middle of the desert near a small village. bit of history as there is no visible signs of water and quite a large tree. good to see some protection with fences around the base. dont know what it is like know.

A good place for a one time visit.

It’s one well known tourist attraction in Bahrain, it’s a one time visit which is good for families and bachelors equally.

Unlike the history suggests the tree is no more the only greenery you can spot in that location , there are some new grown plants around which checks away the spotlight from the tree.

"Tree of life" A wonderful creation of nature by the almighty. Tree of life is a 450 year old tree standing alone in the middle of a desert near the Arabian gulf.Its located on Kingdom of bahrain. A tree spread its green leafs,& shade for you.Once you visited their you can't express the joy you have when you sitting under the shade.
From Manama you can easily reach their.
just set the navigators & you will be there.

It's a great place for camping lovers. The past few years the place was totally quiet but that have now changed. People have started putting up small restaurants and the camping site have increased tremendously. It's worth checking out.

Not much there beside the tree itself. It is, however, intriguing to find a fully grown tree in this location. I have read multiple times that it was heavily littered so we were very pleased to find the location spotless. The information panels (in the periphery "shelter") were interesting and a nice addition.

The Tree of Life, a 400-year-old tree that grows in the Sakhir desert with no nearby water. It's right in the Middle of the desert. You'll always find a few tourists here. It's just a normal place, do not expect too much out of it. There's no public transport to this place. It's better to rent a car and visit it rather than taking a taxi as it's quite from the city centre.

It's one of my favourite place. Tree of life nice and historical place visit once if you have spare time. It's 400+ year's old in dessert without any source of water, it's blessing of God. On the way Also you can observe oil and gas walls. Also it's place look more beautiful in winter vacations camping.

My favourite site in Bahrain. The place requires some drive from Manama or the airport but if you have/rent a car it's a must see. The place has this blissful, peaceful and magical feeling. It's in the middle of the desert but once you approach the tree you can really enjoy the shade and feel it's cool. The structure built around is a nice educational walk where you can find basic facts about the tree as well as other "trees of life" around the world.
On the way to the Tree of Life you can also observe oil and gas wells which can be an attraction to some.

It's a nice place to visit it atleast once especially if you've been on Bahrain the first time.
Preferred time: visit near the sunset so that you can enjoy good view along with the food and few games. There's a sort of tent fair there so you can enjoy the food and there are some games for kids as well. It's worth one visit 👍

An historical site dating back to the 18th century.
The tree is 400+ years old and truly amazing how it has survived through the ages in a desert.
I would prefer to see a bit more security there to prevent people from jumping on the branches, breaking them and littering the surrounding.

History still not uncovered about how this tree still exists in the barren desert without water. Most visited place in Bahrain. Stand alone tree in desert. Best Camping place during winters..

It is a tree in the desert. The area is fairly remote and surrounded by oil wells. Not really much else beyond that.

Absolutely astounding that this tree has survived. There needs to be more attention to visitors. There was only 1 security gaurd who only came when one of the teens was swinging on the precious branches. The toilet was appalling. The office is far from the tree considering the unbearable heat in summer so I can see why tourists were left unattended. No refreshment possibility here. No store or stall. No water or coffee.

It's a nice place to visit if you're a tourist. But don't have a high expectation of the place. The idea of a tree surviving for 400 years in a desert without being watered is definitely amazing. But that aside, it's just a tree in the middle of nowhere.

Well worth the drive, which in itself helps you understand the impact of oil in the region. Take the approx. 600 m perimeter walk which highlights the direction and location of other great trees. Spend some time in the mini museum which contains lots if interesting info about how they calculated the age, the settlement in the area which pre-dates the tree, and theories on how the tree has survived.

It's all about a huge tree surviving all by itself without being watered for 400 years app. Considering it's in a desert is what's fascinating. Sunset time is d best to go n also for photographers.

Awesome place. Humans are many hurt this tree. They are writing name many times on tree and climbing the tree. So government need protect this place.
