I have been in this school for the 5 years now from the elementary experience to the HS experience, and i havent found a single thing that outweighs the benefits that other schools give you. In my past school, teachers were all extremely kind, open minded towards the students, do not vent their pent up feelings towards the students, principles actually care about the students wants, and perhaps needs, and most importantly the school owner genuinely cared about each and every single one of us students. I come to school everyday trying to find someone with a positive vibe, but all i hear is complaining over complaining, how every student never wanted to come to this school. What you’ve been doing is 2 steps forward and 4 steps back, you don't believe me ask other students and parents. You might think i’m biased but please take a good nice long look at yourselves in the mirror. You know some teachers aren’t actually too bad, some are great. However that “some” is about 10 percent. You know every time i try to give a piece of mind to the principles they either ignore my emails, or tell me they’re “busy”. Our 9th grade counselor is actually a very caring woman, but i think she is the only principle that is like this. To be quite frank and honest i think enrolling into this school is probably the biggest mistake of my life, but it is what it is my brothers here, so am i. One nice fact, there are more kind students than kind teachers. And next time the MSA come no need to put up a facade to get a better grade, we don’t do that and you shouldn’t either so please if you want to improve this school to everyones likings and get everyone to enjoy coming to school take the students seriously and take their recommendations into your consideration instead of throwing them out of the window into your imaginary trash. I’d like you to do me a favor, search up: “school makes me feel” and watch the results. Thank you if you even read this.

I live close to the school & I understand the issues parents face while dropping & picking up their kids but the school doesn’t do anything to help them or the residents around the school. I’m stuck every school day for 10mins I’m unwanted traffic. There is a traffic policeman & honestly he is doing his best but the school should do more. It is a moral responsibility. Also it’s an accident waiting to happen. How does Health & Safety not be their first priority.
Today is a sports day & they have been blasting music from 8am on a Tuesday morning. Is it a sports day or a music festival. I called & asked if they could turn the music down & they turned it up.

Extremely rude people..i had been calling the registration department for like a month but no one ever answered the callso i called other numbers they said the concerned lady is not on her seat.when i complained that why is she never available for the queries , its been a long time i m trying ..they said you want us to pull her back to her seat ??? when i said if you have provided the number someone should be there to answer ..she was like OH REALLY ? OH REALLY ? cant believe i got this behaviour from a so called School. Not worth it .

I had an interview with the so called principal Jay Daniel Hollinger yesterday 3/27/2018. He was very distracting during the whole interview, he would ask me questions, but he won't pay attention to my answers. He kept working on something else during the interview. He was very disrespectful, and rude. I never had such worst interview in my whole life. Principal Jay Daniel Hollinger shows how unprofessional he is, and how disrespectful he is toward his teachers and staff. Working with him would be a bad experience.

I wanted to join this school and tried over 10 times and I was rejected for the high amount of students that want to in role into Mks . I have heard very good comments from family members about the teaching their but every time I try to apply for the school I get rejected every time . I want to in role to this school because I find it very difficult to stay in my current school because it is getting harder because I am taking a british curriculum and changing to an American would be better for me not easier but a less complicated .I would want to be accepted but due to the rejection I get and my friends that want to in role as well i can’t get the approval of the school so sad that this is the cause 😞

Not trying to be mean or anything but I've never seen an administration as bad as the one in this school . They(not all)can come off as rude sometimes . I once went to pick up my daughter early due to us having an appointment at an embassy,and we couldn't afford getting late. Expecting my daughter to come out moments after I asked for her,unfortunately for us she came 30 mins later.I felt like I was being ignored by the receptionist there.Not only did I have to wait 30mins for my daughter to come out,we also were EXTREMELY late due to the poorly functioning administration. My daughter used to always complain about certain teachers(which many others have complained about, to the administration she would either get ignored or told that "it's too late". It just doesn't feel like I'm getting my money's worth. MKS is not a BAD school it just needs a bit of work when it comes to the staff,some feel like they're unqualified to even be working there. It used to be considered to be one of the best private schools on the island,it just feels like it's going down now. I hope that I gotten batter with this new school year coming up.

I am writing this review because I don't want any teacher who considers working at MKS to walk into it blind. I was a teacher at MKS for two years and I can honestly say that I have never been more disrespected, insulted, or disgusted by an employer in my life.
The school was founded and is run by one of the most despicable human beings I have ever encountered. Mismanagement begins at this level, and it is perhaps the most glaring issue that this school has. If you are considering working for this school, be prepared for this.
The person who is responsible for hiring teachers and negotiating contracts is the sole human resources employee of the school, who also happens to be the niece of the school’s owner. As the sole HR representative at the school, she is nearly impossible to contact. After I was hired and my contract was negotiated, I never heard from HR again, despite dozens of efforts to contact her. Emails, phone calls, FaceBook messages, and WhatsApp messages all went unanswered. Even trying to approach her in person was unsuccessful. If you are a teacher considering working at MKS, it is best to just assume that the school has no HR department.
The owners of the school are only concerned with making a profit. As an incoming teacher, you will be offered housing and a salary in your contract. The standard of housing and the salary are substandard to nearly every other school on the island that hires foreign teachers. On average, most schools in Bahrain will offer qualified teachers about 200 BD more per month than this school and will offer accommodation on top of that. At MKS you are required to clock in and out of work everyday- despite being a salaried employee as opposed to an hourly worker. If you are late or must leave early for any reason you can expect your pay to be docked, or at the very least being called into the superintendents office to explain each minute of time not worked.
The accommodation offered by this school is sparse and when/if items in your apartment need to be repaired, do not expect them to be. You can also expect to have the air conditioning shut off in the apartment building during the day and in the middle of the night, even during the hottest months when temperatures can reach over 120 degrees. You only have the option of moving out of school-provided housing once you have worked for the school for two years, in which case the school will provide you with a 300 BD stipend for housing. It is very unlikely to find accommodation on the island for 300 BD a month, so teachers almost always pool their stipends and move into apartments together.
The aim of making a profit extends beyond teacher payment packages into the classroom. My first year at MKS my classroom did not contain any books aside from the Ministry-imposed textbooks, nor did it contain any technology such as student computers, teacher computers, a classroom phone or intercom, or internet. What few resources were provided we did not receive training on how to use them, this includes the entire set of curriculum. As a first year teacher and as someone who did not have any previous teacher training, I was left to figure out the curriculum on my own.
For someone who has never lived or been to the Middle East before you can expect any of the following while working for MKS: tear gas entering the school from demonstrations occurring in the village outside the school, being unable to lock your classroom door, being left without a lockdown procedure in case of emergencies (MKS high school), and being forced to stand outside with students in extreme heat (105F+) at the whim of the upper administration.response / report this review -

Teachers spend most time drinking in Juffair can't be very dedicated to lesson planning. 4th grade teacher Savannah enjoys breaking up families and knowingly carrying on relationships with married man Terrance and flaunting it.
