Wonderful seasonal marketplace in scenic park setting. Farmers offering their fresh produce, as well as other products such as organic dairy, honey, dates, and handicrafts. A large offering of food outlets and trucks with seating in the park. Also a mini zoo and horse and cart riding for the little ones. A great way to spend Saturday morning for the whole family. Usually open end November - beginning May. As an alternative in the off season, visit the hawrat Ali indoor farmers market south of salmabad.

A lovely activity occurs here in the winter months where every saturday the local farmers will come to exhibit their lical products with a small lically owned food buisness next to them. There are a lot of original Bahraini products from fruits and vegetables to sweets, pastries, cakes and cuisines. The festival takes hold from early morning like 6 am till midday. The prices are ecinomics, so most if the oeople that comes are the middle to lower class. This gives an atmosphere of the real Bahraini community in a real nice time of the year in a real nice time of the day in a real nice opened green space.

Very organized with extremely friendly people. The small animal feeding section was fun for the kids (horse, goats, cow, different birds). Be there at 8 to find parking and get there before the crowd

It's fantastic given the region we are in however farmers should seek a differeciator when it comes to the variety of their products, having 20 stalls offering the same product isn't constructive, how about adding fruits also? And à lot more food /ready to eat items made from the farmers products

Farmers market is one of its kind in bahrain to promote local farmers. Every year this is setup usually from Dec to april/May.
The way this is managed is beautiful as there are stalls setup systematically. You get everything here from farm grown fresh veggies and fruits and Saplings too.
    Very reasonable prices.
Food court is also setup there and you have the option of having local food.

    Ample amount of parking available.

Prefer to do your shopping in the early hours as it might get a bit crowded.

Great to by local fresh fruit, vegetables, plants at a very cheap price. A very nice change than going to malls. They park would be packed by 10:30 so make sure to come in advance. If you plan to buy a lot, there are carts that are given out for free (and they take you CPR) but many times they would run out so bring your own trolley if you have one. There are many local food kiosks that have good local foods.
