Love the tour, really nice place with a view on the sea.
Had the pleasure to do 2 family photo session at sunset there, it really fit this type of photo.
Lot of space for kids to run.

You can really feel the historical mood of the place.

The fort is well curated for learning about the history of Bahrain and it’s people. Definitely worth the visit since the country doesn’t have so many features like this. Make sure to walk down by the shore and hit up the little museum and coffee shop as well. I wish Bahrain had more places along the water like this.

Nice place to visit specially if you are interested in history. The surroundings are nice also and there is a small coffee shop near by. Personally, I liked the view more in the evening with the lighting effect around the fort.

    Beautiful coastal fort.
A must visit site for people travelling to Bahrain or for the expat community.

Visit the museum to collect the headphones which will guide you through the fort tour.

The fort is built up on an area of 17 hectares.

Very nice place, great for walking, running or even just sitting there.

    There's two issues there:
    1. the walking distance marks are gone..
    2. At night some flood lights are very bright and faces a lot of people walking there.

A very nice place to visit if you're up for hiking 😃 the olace is near beach. So it can be a complete picnic package. You can enjoy at the beach first and then you can visit the fort near the sunset time. The view is amazing which comes even more amazing in the pictures 😉 the fort is not recommended for very young kids as it's rocky and there's a lot of climbing. Make sure to bring food and specially water with you.

One of the best and oldest archeological site in Bahrain. We can see a sharp contrast of Bahrain modern towering skyline and the rich ancient heritage from this fort. One of kind experience.

Enough cannot be said about how intensely captivating this site is to experience. The walk up to the fort allows you to see into areas of the fort that have been excavated recently to show how it used to look. Being next to the coast on one side and between the natural oasis with towering date palms with Bedouins still living there takes you back in time. However it is in sharp contrast when you look back onto Manama's towering skyline, a truly unique sight to behold. Once inside the Fort take you time and soak it all in, there is so much history, so don't come if you wanna spend 20mins, you are only short-changing yourself and this should not be wasted. I found the date storage area's especially interesting and going into the depths made me feel like an explorer. The one this I would note is that the Fort is surprisingly large, and as a westerner I didn't plan how much walking I would be doing up and down stairs, so bring a bottle of water and have one in the car waiting for you. A sight to be seen and experienced, soak it all in and you will remember it forever.

A really impressive and nice place full of ancient history. I agree that is recommended to go just before sunset in order to have different views of the fort and city and also because of temperature. There is in general a breeze that helps you during the visit.

A must-see in Bahrain! Be prepared to go explore the fort and its beautiful ruins for a few hours, & don't miss out on the plentiful photo ops!! There is a cafe in the museum right next to the fort, so stop by for some coffee or tea before or after exploring a bit!

One of the oldest archaeological sites in Bahrain. The fort is beautifully reconstructed without harming the historic value. Lighting of the fort at night gives a magnificent look. The museum gives detailed historical insights about Bahrain and three site. There is a well maintained restaurant with refreshments available for visitors.

A wonderful historical place of old Delmon with great view over the Arabian Gulf. The Fort needs more attention by the government to protect it from the weather and sea impact. Also they need more attraction as the fort is one of an important of its type talks about the kingdom.

A Fort that will take you to the past. Great to have an expedition inside the fort or simply have a walk around it. Best views are just before the sunset or sunrise .
