Maybe one of the greatest places to relax and enjoy nature in northern Bulgaria. It's included in UNESCO and Ramsar Wetlands Convention. Has a great museum with telescopes and binocularus to see the Pelicans, very rare species, in the museum there are also preprated animals, which live in the reserve.

Must be visited during different seasons. There are different species of birds, reptiles, amphibians and mammals. I recommend a visit!

Been few times as a kid and it is a rare sight. Simply memorable. For those who love nature and wild, in particular birds, it is a must go! Enjoy!

We are presently staying in the village of Srebarna and have spent most of the time wandering around the walking trails around the nature reserve. Lots of interesting birds here and some nice places to stop and sit to watch them too. There's a decent restaurant in the center of the village called 'DIVA' where we ate last night and a few shops where you can buy the essentials. We're sleeping at Pelican Lake Guesthouse which we found in the Lonely Planet, a very nice couple from UK run it and the guy has been really helpful in telling us where to see particular birds and in naming the ones we have seen, I'm even writing this review on the laptop they have let us use during our stay :-)
