  Church with golden roofs is builded as a memorial of soldiers, killed in battles for Shipka's pass in Russian-Turkish war in 1878. Nice and quiet place. Good to visit in all seasons.

  Stunning Orthodox church in a beautiful garden of old trees. I love the bright colors of the facade and the stereotypical Russian onion domes cast in shiny gold.

  The Shipka Memorial Church is a unique church built in the Russian architectural style. The church is dedicated to all the soldiers that died for the liberation of Bulgaria in the Russo-Turkish War in the period 1877-78. It is very beautiful.

  The Shipka Church is a memorial to heroes who died for freeing Bulgaria in 1878. It is a splendid piece of late XIX Century Russian style architecture with a traditional touch. The gold covered onion shaped roofs shine amazingly even from the distance. Used to be a monastery, while now it is a Bulgarian orthodox church. Impressive.
