  It's worth visiting although not the best monastery around. There is a lot of history, beautiful views and some great stories surrounding it.

  Beautiful place to visit by impressive serpentine road from Melnik.

  A large medieval Orthodox monastery, very well preserved. You can get here from Melnik by car, or on a footpath through the sand pyramids.
