The hotel is relatively big with spacious rooms. The ones with a lake view are preferred but all are warm and cozy. There are 3 restaurants with the one with the open buffet being the most visited. The food is nice there but nothing special although there is a good variety. The breakfast buffet is much better than the lunch and dinner ones. The spa occupies the whole -1 level. It offers a variety of treatments but the saunas are very small. The herbal sauna is the most visited. The pool is big and well light with a nice view at 270 degrees but at 26 degrees C its a bit cold in my opinion. The location of the hotel is nice. The grounds are very well kept and provide a great opportunity for walks, morning runs etc. Over all, a nice hotel. The staff is friendly and its nice for families with kids. It's crowded on the weekends though which makes it too noisy. It has a parking lot which however fills up to the brim when the hotel is full on the weekend. Overall it's a good place for q family spa treatment. Its removed from the city if Pravets though so its not good for long stays. A weekend or 3 days is perfect though.

One of the worst "high end" hotels I've ever been to. The staff are unfriendly and it cant take up to an hour to order something at the lobby bar sometimes (depending on the server's mood), the food itself was no better, both the beef sandwich and cheesecake had MOLD on them. Also no air conditioning in the lobby because that costs money.
The rooms were not that clean, the balcony was mostly unusable due to some kind of spider infestation. They were almost the size of my thumb and were everywhere. Lots of web in the bathroom as well.
And now the main bit, the restaurant dear good its bad. The meet was old and dry, the "fresh" vegetables were wilted and were apperently the same onefrom yesterdays breakfast. Its a what, 4 star restaurant? Yeah, something like Happy has a better menu and that place has 2-3 stars. This is legit the worst and most expensive buffet I've ever been to. I assume this is because its in the middle of nowhere and you have no other choice other than to yeat there.
The only positive about the place is that they have a few Pokemon Go gyms on the perimeter.response / report this review -

Spacious rooms, but they look a bit dated. Those with a view to the lake are recommended. Well-maintained and spacious common spaces. Nice park and views. The free wifi in the rooms is rather slow. The food in the restaurant was good with plenty of choices both for breakfast and dinner. We stayed during a natonal holiday and the hotel was crowded, the breakfast buffet lacked organization as seating were limited and guests were running around causing chaos. Rude service at the lobby bar (we sat near the bar where we were forced to listen to negative remarks about the guests by the waitress Nelly). 3.5 stars overall.

Excellent food and a gorgeous location - surrounded by mountains and hills. Very calm and picturesque, spacious rooms and service.
Although there is an amazing swimming pool, the spa and recreation area lacks variety and some of the rooms were closed.response / report this review -

4 star property and 5 star service. Many of Bulgarian properties claim the star rating to unknown to me criteria but RIU actually feels underrated for what they offer :-)
Food buffet was with decent selection and everything was fresh. The property is the go to place for many sport teams at all levels from national to private clubs for practices and relaxation. Their pools were awesome and super clean. Won't be disappointed.

Very nice place, calm and relaxing. Historic sites are situated nerarby the hotel. Good food, pool, gym. Staff is ok too
