Excellent original late 15th & 16th century frescos. Amazing detail. The wheel of life fresco is truly unique! Worth the side trip if you haven't had your fill of churches.

It is a nice church in Arbanassi with beautiful and well conserved murals on all building walls. The church was built in 3 stages and has seperate sections for men (naos) and women (narthex).

Cosy family hotels, UNESCO preserved chirche and lovely mountain scenary.
Also visit the nearby city of Veliko Tarnovo - lovely city, people speak English, great historical sightseeings and amazing nature. Must see if you are in Bulgaria.response / report this review
