Hotel has potential to be rated higher if they focus more on the rooms. Beds were not comfortable, carpet was filthy and the a/c suck other than that, breakfast/restaurant was great and the staff was very helpful and courteous. 5-6 Lev taxi drive to the Tsarevets fortress!

Good place for a big party, nice location, but poor architecture and interior design. Needs a better staff also. 5 waiters didn't manage to being us coffee under 30 minutes, and there were 6 tables taken total.

Fortress looks magnificent from outside. Restaurant part looks really impressive, it's huge, great for private events. Unfortunately smokers where allowed inside, 2 Guests managed to cover room in heavy smoke just after 20 minutes, made us leave very fast. Entrance for Hotel wasn't very impressive, felt like the service entrance, behind and on the last spot you would ever expect, next to 3 caged huge dogs that barked and hauled all night. Prices on rooms are ok. Personal was helpful and very friendly. Stairs in Hotel was a bit on the narrow side, I could only carry one bag at the time in a comfortable way. Rooms where great, almost impressive. And the towers are only for show, that was a bummer.
But all in all a positive experience, saved by the look of Hotel and the kind staff.response / report this review
