  It's not Rila, but it's worth seeing in you're in the neighborhood of it. No entrance fee. There's a small mehana next to it and what's good about it is that it is not overpriced. Beans soup is delicious.

  Cherepish Monastery or Черепишки манастир "Успение Богородично" is situated near the town of Vratsa and right next to Iskar river. It is one of the most famous monasteries in Bulgaria. Nice for a visit in the weekend.

  Unique place that definitely has to be visited. A monastery and and a musium in the same plase just next to the river Iskar. It gives a taste of the bulgarian history.
