Closed on Saturday and Sunday, despite the information on Bulgarian Posts official website says that it's open on weekends
Worst service ever. I ordered package from outside of EU twice. both packages are less than 150 euro.
First time everything went pretty smooth except after waiting for a package to arrive for 4 months i figured out that i had to send them an EMAIL with 2 declarations filled out. Which i did without adding anything to the message.
Then 2nd time i did the same i sent them 2 filled out declarations(in bulgarian) but also i added text to the email saying smth like "heyy, can u check this out my package is supposed to be on customs". and then the hell began: they started asking in every individual email the same exact information that was written in declarations in bulgarian and i was replying in English (since you are working at the place where all international shippings go through you are supposed to know at least the basics, but of course they dont as well as a migration office); they completely ignored my answers and just kept asking the same info again and again and again and again (the tracking number, cost of transfer, what is the product - basically everything that u put in those 2 declarations); i asked my friend who knows bulgarian to call them cuz OFC as soon as they hear English they just hang up💀 and they told to my friend that smth apparently got mixed up and i am written there as a sender and now i need to go to the office itself which i DONT want to do cuz all the stuff there does is scream at u if u ask them to repeat smth so u can at least try to understand with your interslavic brain what are they saying. I just wish Bulgaria cared about bettering anything at all. Im from a country where i can get married through a governmental app and our cyber security is the strongest in the world and here even the simplest process cannot be automated and/or digitalised. The stuff is unbelievably rude in any of the locations of Български пощи. If u can avoid using them - do at all cost.
This place wasn’t an easy find to mail postcards. I did a Google maps search to find the location & based on that I went to the incorrect building. Thanks to a local, she took me to the building next door (see photo of building) where in the hallway, you’ll see a kiosk.
Regardless if it was a single letter or one postcard, the postage to Canada was priced the same. Once you put the stamps on, you’re to put them in the yellow mailbox outside the building. It’ll be interesting to see when they’ll actually arrive.
Stamps available in the little kiosk just inside the building. 1.90 Lev for stamps to England. The lady in the kiosk was nice and spoke English. Then post the postcards in the yellow boxes on the wall outside the building
Upd. The parcel was delivered after 50 days. And this despite the fact that we constantly called and wrote with questions
Bulgarian Post keeps our international parcel at the sorting center for 18 days and does not provide any information. Do not send international parcels with this postal service!
Straight forward to getting stamps for postcards from one of the two kioks inside. Look for the building entrance with yellow post boxes on the outside.
Located in the middle of sofia city center, slightly difficult to car parking but nice place and friendly staff, well organized desk with own category. whenever visit here, feel so comfortable!!
They are not picking the phone never.. so if you have questions good luck!
Really nice building- it would have been great if the staff was nicer
Not so kind staff. They are not able to speak German or English. Very difficult to send something :(
Mery old fashioned post office
The services of Bulgarian post offices can't be always reliable.
