Decent views of Sofia, but the garden is overgrown and there's nothing to see / do. Loud, intimidating stray dogs. So much potential for this location to be a bright spot in the area if only properly looked after.

I don’t get this place. There seems to be a greenhouse in poor shape with loads of plants inside. The immediate surrounding is disturbed by the car noise from the ring road and is not really nice for relaxing anyways.

Looks like 95% of the “Park” called botanical garden is in absolute bad shape (see pictures), it’s on a hill, so not good for a nice walk around either.

Freely running dogs that scared my little girl, barking loudly.

I’d describe it with a 4 letter word, that I don’t want to use here, but it starts with an S.

Very beautiful and peaceful place - perfect for relax and walk. Most facilities need better maintenance though. You can buy some of the plants as well.

Interesting place with good exhibit of plants. Plenty of space to walk around outside, plus you can buy plants on good prices too. Good place to spend with family. Only downside - not very welcoming person in the entrance :/

Beautiful place, divided to few environmental zones, worth to see due to many interesting species, most of them you can buy with ridiculous low prices.

The Botanical Garden is associated with the Bulgarian Academiy of Sciences. It is an interesting place to spend an hour or two. The grounds are beautiful, and there is a good selection of plants in the greenhouses. I must say that the greenhouses have seen better days. They are very old, communist-era facilities, and the BG deserves better physical facilities. But it is nevertheless and enjoyable place to visit. An interesting selection of plants are available for purchase.

Lots of different plants. There are some exotic ones. It is very interesting place to visit in your free time. The only "problem" is the old building - the windows and the main construction look unstable and are very creaking.
