The church "St. Archangel Michael "served as the last fortress and sanctuary of the rebels in April 1876. Built between 1847 and 1849, With voluntary means and labor of the local population, it is an expression of the spirit and increased possibilities of this population during the Renaissance. It is a three-nave building, richly painted by Pazarjski masters. It gathers the last defenders who, together with a peaceful population, try to defend their freedom against a large Turkish environment. Attached by a cannon from a regular Turkish army, the church becomes a silent witness to the heroism and sacrifice of Spas Ginov, Kocho Chestimenski and others who prefer death to the possibility of falling into Turkish hands.
