  A beautiful place to make a stop and take a rest in the heart of Rila mountain. After a strenuous climb, you're almost there - Malyovitsa peak (2,729 m) is just 30 min away.

  Crystal clear water, high (2472 m) in Rila Mountain. The lake is located just below the beautiful Malyovitsa Peak. You get to the lake when following the trail from the Malyovitsa Hut to the Malyovitsa Peak. When you are ascending to the peak, you can walk either by its left side (the summer trail, more popular) or by its right side (the winter trail). It is a great place for taking a rest before doing the final efforts to climb to the top of the mountain. When you climb to the summit you can see the interesting shape of the lake. Be careful in the winter because it is an avalanche area!
