Great beer great traditional atmosphere Terrible service.
Very nice hidden place with the best waiter! Thank you for your service! :-)
Easily the best beer bar we visited in Brussels. I only wish we came here earlier on our trip.
Nice sort of hidden gem. Great beers and snacks
One of those "down an alley" bars that Belgium seems to specialise in. Delightfully quiet for central Brussels on a Friday lunchtime. Lovely wood eveywhere and some tiled toilets that are worth a visit just to look. We started with the Palette de Dégustation to get an idea of what was what before continuing with a few more glasses of our favourite. In my case a deep red cherry beer with a pleasant mixture of acid and sweetness. This was accompanied by a plate of cheese, blood sausage and brawn and another of bread spread with cream cheese and accompanied by radishes and sliced shallots. A very pleasant snack. The staff do their best to shrug and sigh and look exasperated at the ignorance of all the tourists that come through the door. But it's all an act and actually we felt very welcome. Another case of wishing we'd had another few hours to get comfy and explore the beer menu.
My Saturday coffee and omellete location, always good for a few beers and watch the tourists in Grand Place.
Great young Lambic and snacks. Staff can take a bit of getting used to but they are harmless.
Go here and try the jeuene lambic blanche with a sourdough sandwich with smoked herring.
Wonderful, simply wonderful. The waiter was one of the best I have ever seen. Recommended.
Another traditional panelled Belgian bar, which serves Lambic beer amongst others. Very popular, but on the smaller side & can get crowded, but that all adds to the charm of the place. Staff are great & very obliging and the beers a superb. It's even served in a stone jug, which you can also buy as a souvenir.
This is a great hidden bar. Good selection of beers, and food options are tasty. This place always makes me feel like I'm experiencing something that hasn't changed for a long long time, and like I managed to escape the touristic ambiance of the area.
