Ce centre de commémoration est très émouvant. Il retrace de manière très vivante la bataille des Flandres (et particulièrement la trêve de Noël) durant la première guerre mondiale .
Présentation avec des écrans interactives et tactiles, idéal pour les jeunes.
Possibilité de visiter le terrain de foot de la trêve entre 2 tranchées à 1km du musée.

This was an incredible museum to visit and from which to learn about WWI and this area during that time. The interactive, electronic, and hard displays made the visit even greater. Added in was the extremely helpful and gracious staff, one should not miss this museum.

Small but very interesting museum in Ploegsteert explaining WW1 in a very accessible way, with a clear focus on the Battle of Mesen. Museum composed of several artefacts, maquettes and interactive panels which demonstrate the history, evolution, and experience of alost five years of Great War and its effect on civilians as well as soldiers from all parties.
Local guide is possible, due to a small fee and bringing an extra dimension on the "Plugstreet Experience". The museum is a souterrain, next to a large Commonwealth Memorial and on the edge of what once was known as Ploegsteert Wood on the road from Ploegsteert to Mesen. It refers to a part of warfare in the Great War, known as "the mine wars".

Definitely worth the admission price. Well laid out with film, battle projections and personal interactive portals. The information is well laid out and describes the Great War in a understandable manner. Right next to a British Cemetary & Memorial. There is also a restaurant across the street and a tour guide who will take you out to the key locations in the immediate area. Enough here for a full day of immersion in the Great War.
