Best seafood restaurant in Antwerp. Try the gorgeous Plateau Royal or even the mussels with fries.
Fish! Fish! Jum! Friendly staff. Perfect chocolate desert (forgot the name but ask for this) Nice view. From downstairs the restaurant looks really shabby.
I had mix feelings about this place. Lot of errors with the service etc... Probably we weren't the right crowd for this place. Plus we got an annoying rich Brexiter at the next table.
Delicious and rather fresh (although not alive anymore!!) oysters from France, Ireland and the Netherlands. It's probably the best seafood restaurant in town with beautiful seafood platters. The view of the Schelde river is beautiful from almost everywhere in the restaurant. Why three stars then? The service. Extremely slow (even though there were more waiters than customers that day) and the waiters (all of them) made us feel they were doing us a big favor for every single thing we asked for. The art to make you feel unwelcome with a smile. Not returning there, I'll get my oysters in a place that wants me.
Seafood restaurant around ten minutes from the Old Town tourist area. The food selection is very limited to seafood and shellfish, but the quality is very high if that is what you are looking for. Prices are high with up to 40-50 euros for an entree, but again the quality reflects it. Beer selection is standard for most Belgian restaurant. They keep the live lobster and other raw seafood right in the dining room, so the entire place has a lingering smell of seafood which may be a nuisance to some.
Taste good, all aspects are pretty good
