  A big NO. I was feeling sick , regular flu , but since I work in a hospital here in the city as a nurse with high immunodepressed patients I went to ask for a certificate. They gave me 4 days . At the fourth day I wasn't feeling good yet so I went back , explaining again the symptoms , the high risk of contamination that I could have brought to patients and the fact that I could haven't stand up for a night shift of 12 hours .the answer was : the flu is five days maximum ( I didn't know that now diseases are protocoled per days ) that he ( the doctor) could have give me one day more but then I should have come back and being check ( and pay ) again. I said that I had the feeling that I would have being ok in 48 / 72 hours ( I know myself , I work in the hospital and I took all the possible viruses possible) that would have been better also for my collegues in order to let organize them , it's not easy to find a replacement for a nightshift for a nurse. I thought that this guy as doctor would have understand me but no. no, no the answer was always the same : the flu is maximum 5 days . Then the best was when he said that anyway I've could have slept during my nightshift. Just for the record , nurses don't sleep on nightshift. I wonder where this guy took his degree. Never again.
  I had to go to an another doctor to get the certificate.
