Good hostel, clean etc! awfull agressive owner, doesnt like dutch people and some specific foreigners. Likes to yell and tread with the police about stupid things. And he really doesnt like groups. I was in a belgian group and asked for if the terrasdoor could be opened because it was over 30 degrees celsius and he threw me out of the hostel because he was convinced that dutch people are rude. I did nothing wrong and the belgian school and everybody belgian in the hostel except the owner agreed with me. He is so used to yell at everything that even sounds a little dutch that he cracks and flips at the smallest thing. Its not my fault that he has bad experiences with dutch people before and that need to generalize every dutch person because of that. To ask a if the backdoor can open is a very normal question

My girlfriend and I stayed here during the Rock Werchter Festival, and found it to be the ideal accomodation for this. Not only was is in a prime location where we could reach both the festival and the city center with ease, but moreover the hostel itself was clean and comfortable ~ all at a very affordable price. The staff and manger welcomed us warmly, and in opposition to what many of these reviews state, we never experienced any problems with regards to the manager being rude or unpleasant. I recommend this especially to festival goers - but also to people who are on a tighter budget who want a simple, neat space in a really good position.

Not very satisfied with the cleanliness. Service is not really professional when asked to change rooms they were not very happy. Really cheap though.

The place is good. But is spoilt by the owners. Both of them yell at their customers for no reason. The guy will treat you as if you have stolen something from them. Poor.

It's fine I guess. Relatively cheap (for a place to stay near the downtown area) so don't expect any luxury. But everything works, people are nice enough. They also have something that resembles coffee (senseo) to get you going in the morning.

Staying overnight in a six bed room was great. The location was quiet, the staff helpful, and the bathrooms were clean. If staying in Leuven again I would certainly return.

Hostel looks nice, but looks are deceiving. The owner ruins everything about this place. He does not know anything about hospitality and fails to resolve conflicts in a decent way because of his anger management issues. He scolds at guests, makes racist remarks and generally behaves inordinately.

Furthermore, breakfast is terrible and could be improved so much for the money you pay. Showers sometimes run out of hot water and there are so many locks that you get annoyed by the stupid codes you have to enter all the time. Somehow the reception closes at random moments and leaves the music on all the time.

Leuven is an awesome city and a lovely place to visit on a weekend getaway. However, save yourself the stress and negativity the owner will provide you with: pick another hostel.
