Crowded and for a reason, only 69 different ways to prepare mussels, of which one is your own, cartoons with the menu partially in Brussels' dialect
Super cool restaurant, I loved the vibe and the food was good! Would return there!
Pro: it was nice we could rezerve a table with an hour before we come
The food tasty
Contra: we had a big group near and it was a little too noisy
!!!! I found a human hair in mussels (they were "nice" enough not to ask for payment and also they apologized for the incident)
!! They ask if we want water and it was on the bill, without mention it - most belgian restaurants bring a glass of water for free
It took almost tge same time to bring the food and to bring the bill 😁
got there early and had to wait. we had no reservation, but were squeezed in. The mussels were delicious and huge quantity. limited but outstanding selection of beer. our interaction with the staff started off a little rough because I don't speak French, but quickly got better even as the crowd grew. I recommend to any one who wants to eat mussels in Brussels.
Great place to enjoy genuine Brussels specialties in a relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic list of mussels dishes, both in terms of variety and quality.
Nice try. Too much cream for too little taste. Nice touches still.
Worst restaurant experience of my life. Not only is the customer service appalling, the food is mediocre and extremely overpriced.
They ran out of their house speciality, the famous 69 varietes of mussels (which they brazenly advertise on their website), so we were forced to choose from the ubiquitous steak/lasagne. Exactly the kind of typical Belge food tourists are looking for!
Worst of all was that the owner/manager belligerently blamed us for not knowing that mussels were out of season, took an hour to get us our appetizers then, cherry on top, forgot to fire up the entrees for our 9 top table. We went in at 8:30, as per our reservation, and left at 11 with no food in our stomach.
They absolutely refused to take any responsibility for their screwups. They even had the gall to argue with us and tell us that it's our 'bad luck' that we didn't get any food.
I've eaten at great restaurants, not so good ones and terrible ones. But after this experience, even the worst restaurant seems like a great alternative. Le Zinneke has pushed the bar of terrible so low that I doubt it'll ever have competition.
Forget about getting decent food, if you want to be treated like a decent human being, then don't even think of setting a foot in this hellhole.
Great restaurant offering Belgian and international cuisine. Famous for the many different mussels sauces.
Typical Belgian menu and Brussels local food. Fun place and cozy. Required reservation.
Great food & service. Best mussels in Brussels!
Best place in Brussels. They really know how to do steaks properly, and the mussels are great. They have some fantastic bio-beers as well.
More than 70 recipes of moules, good quality, nice retro decorations. Slow service at times. Very popular place, reservation absolutely needed on peak days.
Very good service. Spoilt for choice at this restaurant. Starts are great, mussels are fantastic and the desserts are of very generous portion! Going there during lunch time is simply worthwhile! Must try restaurant in Brussels!
