Wij hebben hier een hele fijne tijd gehad tijdens onze roadtrip door België & Noord Frankrijk. Guy en Brigitte zijn hele gezellige mensen en we hebben dan ook leuke gesprekken gehad. Sylvie de huispoes kwam vaak gezellig op schoot zitten. Nog een leuk detail is dat de koelkast op onze kamer goed gevuld was met alle verschillende Chimay bieren. Dat in combinatie met het uitstekende verse onbijt (vers gemaakte pain perdu!) maakte ons verblijf in deze B&B een onvergetelijke ervaring.

Super petit hôtel, au charme particulier, avec beaucoup de caractère, au centre de Chimay et malgré ça très calme. Petit déjeuner tout simplement délicieux et extraordinaire

We stayed two nights at Le Petit Chapitre. Our stay was very comfortable, with a very comfortable bed and well appointed spacious room. The breakfast was excellent as was the central location of the BNB in Chimay. Friendly owners are bilingual, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying at this establishment.

Inévitable pour se détendre..!
Á quelques pas de la grand'place de Chimay, de tout commerces et restaurants, Dans ce petit cadre idyllique Brigitte et Guy nous entoure de douceur et de bonne humeur à chacune de nos visites..!
Chaque chambre à un thème subtilement respecté et sont toutes d'un confort somptueux, il est peu de dire qu'on y dort du sommeil du juste..
Au lendemain matin nous avons chaque fois eu le plaisir de goûter aux délices que Brigitte nous propose au petit déjeuner, confitures maison et autres petites douceurs qui ne nous laisse pas de reste..
Un moment très agréable à passer en famille, en amis ou en amoureux, c'est un pur moment de plaisir..!

I stayed at le Petit Chapitre for four nights in July 2016, I wish I could have stayed longer! This is the perfect location for a romantic break in the heart of this historic beautiful Belgian town. less than a minute from the cafes in the square but secluded and quiet.

The exterior of the property is pretty and welcoming, I noticed several people stopping to take photographs. Once inside the full splendour of the owners individual and skilful style awakes your senses, it is simply beautiful and individual. The owners, Brigitte and Guy have an artistic flair and that is evident in every room of their home.

Our bedroom was clean and fresh, crisp cotton sheets edged with lace.. A TV and kettle in the room and a mini bar with drinks at good prices. We had an en-suite bathroom with a full sized bath. The decoration in the room was thoughtful shabby chic and a pleasure. I have no idea how they manage to put together this look, but they do and works well, it works very well indeed.

The room overlooked the church and the magnificent stained glass windows that are gently illuminated at night.. Please do not be concerned about church bells disturbing your sleep they don't chime after 10pm or before 7am.

The breakfast is served in the dinning room and this is decorated like the rest of the house, beautiful shabby chic. The starched table cloth is decorated with lovely porcelain, and candles.

Breakfast itself is an opportunity for Brigitte to share her home made jams and conserves, they are all excellent and helpfully they are described on a little blackboard on the chimney breast. Yoghurt and fresh fruit is served first in a small glass. We were given caramalised french toast followed by criossants and a selection of bread and local Chimay cheese. Brigitte had made sponge cake and this was a delight. Coffee was served, as much as you would like.

There are chairs outside the B and B and we loved to end the day sitting there in the cool of the evening with a glass of Belgian beer. On the first evening Brigitte and Guy invited the guests to share a drink with them as they returned from their evening. A relaxing convivial evening, with laughter, pleasant conversation and nice wine or beer.

Brigitte and Guy speak good english and are a mine of information about local facilities and history. They were able to direct us to some beautiful restaurants in the area.

A rewarding stay in this charming B and B with wonderful kind hosts who love to share their distinctive home. The only negative is that we had to leave!!! If you are visiting the Hainaut region, or if you are in Belgium, you must visit le Petit Chapter, it is a Belgian attraction in itself, no wonder it has featured in magazines and has been used by celebrities such as Rupert Evert. I can't recommend it highly enough, we will be back next year. Thank you Brigitte and Guy.

Magnifique demeure dans un endroit très calme. Petits déjeuners copieux et confitures maison excellentes. Accueil chaleureux qui donne comme une envie d'y revenir.
