I wanted to go for cup of a coffee and write e-mail (I visited that place before). Outside was sitting a girl with an older man and chilling and talking, so I was automaticaly going in, because it looked like open. They stopped me (waitress and owner, probably) and said is closed. Of course, I asked when it will be open. They told me at 10. So, I said I will wait (with smile) and was going to smoke on the bench. After a half hour I go in, already 10. And they are counting money and doing other stuff. They saw me and I stucked in the doors and asked, if I should wait a while and smiled. Because I did this job too and I don't feel good to count money with stuff and have people around. And waitress just said "yes" with tone, like I shouldn't even ask and leave now and not go back at all, and she don't care about what she told me before. Absolutely rude attitude.
I also think, when I tryed get in first time, that absolutely not sympathetic fat guy - owner or who - pointed on my bag and said something what probably should offended me. Maybe like I shouldn't go there.. Not sure, but I think.
If they think, that homeless people traveling with expencive alpine bag (with expencive stuff on it) in month full of travelers, speaking english and wanna go for coffee somewhere, they are skilled to be idiots and this was just rude. I have not even not tent, blankets, whatever. Just a bit paint on it, 'cuz they destroyed it in one hotel, hardly to see. Just big new bag. I was going somewhere else and here is friendly stuff talking with me about traveling. I look absolutely normal, I will just not be wearing fancy clothes, when I have traveling boots to keep my feet healthy. But I have normal jeans and older T-shirt. That place is not fancy at all too, maybe just prices and poorest internet ever. I was there 3 times, never again.
Owner is probably really stupid person.
But even if it is misunderstanding and he didn't wanted to offend me, it was rude anyway with that attitude and he was part of it. So it doesn't matter what he said.

Good local food for a good price. Nice meatballs with some fries and side salad. A traditional meal in Liege. Had to wait more than 30 minutes in the afternoon.

Very large choice of pekets, a speciality from Liège. If you're staying in Liège, you have to get here and try some.
