2 rooms were reserved, but turned out that only one room available. Asked for room with 2 different beds, but during sign in found out that room have only 1 double bed. Had to wait while they changed room to room with 2 beds. The next day at 1200 we were informed that we should vacate room. Nobody informed beforehand, that room booked for one day only by our agent. Though hotel the only one who had communication with our agent. Total it seemed like total negligence and disrespect to your comfort and wishes as guest. Stay away from this hotel

Awesome location, clean and spacious rooms, awesome room service, variety in breakfast. All in all I loved my stay here. All places of interest in Ghent are at walking distance from the hotel.

While there are bedrooms available online they tell me it's fully booked by phone and just hang up. Unbelievable.

All hotels I looked at in Ghent are too expensive for what they offer. I would come back to the Gravensteen but only because there doesn't seem to be much of an option :(

Great location, get the tram from the train station 3€.prices in Ghent far cheaper than Bruges. This hotel is nice and well maintained, staff super friendly. Reasonable sized rooms comfortable bed very clean. Tea and coffee in the rooms.

Fantastic location, ideal for seeing Ghent. Castle Gravensteen is on the doorstep, as is a lovely square, great for an evening meal or a few beers. The rest of the city is just round the corner!
The staff are friendly and helpful, good sized, clean and comfortable rooms. We've stayed twice, and been very happy both times. Can't comment on rooms in the original building, as we've had rooms in the annex, which have been spotlessly clean and well equipped.
Breakfast is a good selection of meats, cheeses, breads/pastries, cereal, fruit etc with the addition of cooked items too. Far better than many we've experienced.
Will definitely be back next time in Ghent.
