  It looks more like a parking than a station
  Considered it's the second biggest station of Gent but also the closest to the center I think it should be so much better. I would expect and justify a service like that in a countryside town. No way to get food there unless from the two vending machines, if you come here for the first it's not really clear where you're supposed to wait for your bus and once you do, no benches available to wait for it to come so you just have to sit in the parking lot.
  Location is good. If you're coming to visit Gent, choose this station either with the train or bus because it's the closest to the center.

  The closest train station in the center of Ghent. Direct connections to Antwerp, Bruge, Ostend and Eeklo. For other destinations you need to go to Gent Sint-Pieters, which is one train stop away from this station
