Nice enough hotel, very dated and no facilities so as to speak. Big rooms, big bathroon. Guy on reception lacked basic local knowledge, he couldnt tell me where i could park my van or any of the parking restrictions. Breakfast was too late for my needs but I had a coffee. It was instant coffeein this day and age that isnt good enough

The service is very friendly and the included breakfast is good but there's no mistaking your in a 400 year old building that could use some updating. It has charm but it's dated and wearing out. The value is there so a 3 star review is a little rough but you can't give half star bumps here. Once others in the building get up in the morning your up and if they are up late so are you. It's a decent value but not exceptional.

Very nice small Hotel. Old fashioned style, but very neat and cozy. Highly recommended. One of my favourite hotels from now on. We were in room 12. According to some reviews the best room. Breakfast is nice. Nothing special, but not bad either. The hotel is located in the city centre, just a minutes walk to many great tourist attractions.

We've stayed here for two nights in the very calm and pleasant atmosphere of this 16th century building next to the centre of Gent.
A hotel which is far different from the room optimized hotel mainstream.
The interior is coherent to the historic ambience. Rooms with plenty of space and comfortable bed. Breakfast was perfect including fresh fruits.
The entire family enjoyed the stay, parents, teenagers and the nine years old daughter - statement of the latter: I feel here as I'd stay at home.

The hotel is well situated and in an old historic house. The atmosphere of the interior is not comfortable: furniture is mostly in bad shape or cheap. Bathrooms need urgent renovation. Breakfast is very simple. Altogether: too expensive for what is offered.
