Not bad to drop by if you're with a big group. It can get crowdy in the evening though. Food is quite allright.
I went to this restaurant and ordered some meatballs. After I cut one of them, I saw some burned part. The waiter took my plate away to the bar and discussed with one staff, and I saw the staff use his hands to take the meatball and throw it in the trashbin. Then they returned the same plate to me and explained that the meatball was not fully soaked in the sauce during baking. This is insane! How can they simply use hands to touch a customer's plate and food?
The waiters are very impolite with clients sometimes too much rude.
Went several times and you have to be lucky to have warm food during weekends evenings.
Another point, the side salad it's not washed.
First and last time i order a dessert. The saddest dessert in the world and they charge you too much for something like this.
In general, beers are good!
Good local beer and chicken wings. One should note that staff has very good retention rate . I see same waiters there working for over 8 years, which in my opinion is good indicator. They know me and my wife and bring automatically 20 chicken wings spicy with Con Domus beer 500 cc. per person. The prices are reasonable, but getting higher. Inflation creeps with ECB printing money.
Food and value for money are good, but service is really bad. The waiters act as if the clients (and especially the foreign ones) are a burden to serve. Also tap water is not served. You have to pay an overpriced bottle.
Very nice restaurant in the city center of Leuven. Prices are fine and the staff is very helpful and professional. The chicken wins are really good ;)
Lovely selection of 5 salads, all made with super fresh and high quality produce. Soups and sandwiches also on the menu. Free water available and their homemade lemonade is super nice. Only thing keeping me from a 5 star rating is their prices, which are rather steep.
Ordered the food selection for two people. Very large portions for a good price. Stomach was full and leftovers left behind. Also the beers are great, but beers are great all over Belgium I guess. Really worth the visit though, good food quality, good food quantity and good prices
The food is decent and the portions large. Definitely there is no risk to walk out with an empty belly. Prices are reasonable as well. House beers are very good, highly recommend. Staff members are not always very nice.
A must-visit restaurant with a local card, good food and low prices.
great steak, great beer, good atmosphere. definitely recommend it.
Nice place, with local dishes. The own-crafted beer is not actually amazing, but once it's fine
Food is good and the vibe is very easy going but the service is absolutely terrible. I was in contact with 3 people from door to bar to door - it was consistently bad.
We asked for a menu in English and were told that the beers all have the same names in different languages, however, it was impossible to understand which beers to order as they were written up in different sections based on production methods and origin. When we asked we were treated s bit like 'idiots'.
In the end we ordered a branded beer, when the whole point of coming here was to have something local and specialised. I would not come here again. Why would you when you've got so many brasseries all around with locals wanting to talk about local produce, with well deserved pride. If you love beer Belgium is the place to come after all!
Great tavern-like restaurant/pub. Good food and drinks. Nice place to relax with friends.
