  Zoals altijd kijk ik rond en zie dingen soms denk je na en gister was ik met Koosje mijn hondje in Crox . Koos wilde de witte ruimte niet in zeker bang dat haar pootjes de mooie vloer vuil zou maken ik had me pantoffels al uit , aan zn vraag voldoe je toch zonder mee , maar er hadden toch wat boeren met schoenen rond gelopen zag ik gelijk al of hoorde het bij het werk ja je weet het niet verder veel werk dat geduldig wacht op een koper op de veiling , laatste show hier zei Laura mij , ach , Maar we gaan verder , wat geniet ik altijd van Gent als ik er ben ik kocht bij een aardige slager een schapenpoot die me 2.50 euro korting wilde geven of zich verrekende toen ik het terug gaf zei hij sorry wat ik wel grappig vond ook kocht ik een kool van 5 kilo voor 1,50 euro in wittekool zit het meest vitamine c wat echt goed is voor de winter , ik dacht nog even aan Crox. die red het wel en Laura verdiend een lintje , Koning als u dit leest regelt u het dan voor hem .!

  Alternative Space which immediately captured the imagination of the artistic Ghentian city dwellers at the beginning of the nineties. One had to wriggle it's way through at openings. It permeated the odor of alternativeness with a high incense of quality. Hans Van Heirsele peppered vernissages into explosive happenings and always gathered larger crowds. One seemed constantly getting to know new artists. Some sort of endless magic stream. His long time school buddy participated and eventually got catapulted into world fame. I remember the first time Michael Borremans exposed a few of his paintings at "Open Deuren" in september - oktober 1996. I even filmed it. Immediately I was struck by the quality of what I saw & told him so. Great was my surprise to see this kind of qualitative work in a garage….for God's sake . It never stopped & is still going to this day. I guess by now it must be the oldest non-commercial gallery of the city which produced the commercially most successfull artist of the country
