  Disaster for customer service even by belgian standards which are already very low: rude staff, slow service. Avoid at all costs!

  Very poor service mostly due to unfriendly and arrogant employees (including the manager). Somehow it went through their heads that they are part of a 5-star hotel (really?); however their standards are poorer than those street vendors! Food quality and tastes aren’t good either. These folks are in their past golden-days, but things are falling apart in present days and they seems not to be aware of…sad reality. I will never go there again!

  Métropole was at the time one of the grand hotels. Nice to go there to see the glamour and luxury of the time. Too bad the food is below par and the bill above.

  We entered the building because we expected very good food in this breathtaking atmosphere. As we were sitting inside cold wind always went through the doors and we were shivering. The service was good. Anyways we ordered a steak with fries for a lot of money. The steak was not medium, the sauce too spicy, fries not well done and not selfmade. The salade was not much more impressing than the rest. The tomatoes had a bad day, looking like a 80 years old man. If you are expecting that you will get tasty food for this much money, you better not go for it. Go to any burger chain and you will get better meat. Wasted money.

  Really poor customer service. Ignored for a long while, then waiter managed to forget our order twice. Eventually brought our food (cold) and without drinks. We were still as polite as possible but the waiter was rude, walking away from us as he was being spoken to. Also said he'd discount the bill but didn't. The interior is pretty but is not worth mediocre food and terrible service.
