Glad we chose to stay here in Antwerp. Much better than staying in a traditional hotel. The house is very grand - big Ceilings and interestingly decorated. We stayed in the room with the bath, it's a spacious room, big comfortable bed, and room is warm with a nice fireplace in the room. The bathroom is clean, and nice to use, but bath is a bit awkward to use as a shower without getting everywhere wet, but guess it's intended to be just a bath really. Breakfast was really good - toast, cheese, eggs, coffee, juice, fruit, croissants. We only stayed one night - location is a bit far from the centre of town - but there is a tram stop just outside, otherwise you will need a taxi to get into town. Martin was very useful for local tips and sorting out parking which is very cheap on the street just outside.

Beautiful, historic building with a mix of gorgeous orginal features and interesting vintage decor. The price was reasonable and our room, number 1, was very spacious (there's even a claw-foot bath in the bedroom!). Breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed sitting in the garden room with all the amazing decor and light. The location may not be that central but we still managed to walk everywhere and it was nice not to be around the touristy areas. Also, very old houses filled with antiques don't tend to feel super squeeky clean, so even though this B&B was absolutely adequate in terms of cleanliness, if you expect shining polished surfaces, you should go elsewhere. The only minor criticism would be that there was a coffee machine in the room but no cups or pods, and it's sometimes hard to get the attention of the host/his daughter (we rang the bell several times to get in but ended up calling them to let them know we were waiting outside with our luggage, and in the evening we wanted to ask for extra glasses for our drinks, but no one was around) however, I would still return here as the interior design is so classy and inspiring!

Quirky Antwerp bed and breakfast experience, bordering on the right side of kitsch.
The rooms are lovely, individual, brimming with character and impeccably clean, complete with bed, armchairs, antiques, a good old fashioned bathtub and a fridge full of wine. The service is splendid, and the continental breakfast, prepared by the owner Martin on the morning, is fresh, filling and exquisitely served. The only downside is that it's not in central Antwerp, and is approximately a 20 minutes walk from everywhere you would want to go. All in all an experience worth having.
