During my first year in Belgium I tried to open an account here. Although I had both permisson to stay and the E-card, they told me I first need to be in possession of the document called "bijlage 8". It wouldn't have been a problem if the clerk in the city office hadn't said that "bijlage 8" was actually my E-card. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Service standard is low, but that's common in Europe. And opening times are not for working people. Plus who takes lunch breaks in the banking sector other than European banks
