Aside from fingerprinting, expect any random excuse not to help, save the waste of time coming here and just fly back to the states for whatever you need done. You will end up having to anyway.

I had an appointment for interview scheduled at 09:30, now it is 10am and I'm still sitting in the lobby waiting with 20 other people!!

Went to get my fingerprints taken for a background check. This is offered just one hour per week (10:30-11:30) every Monday. I arrived around 10:45 to find a group of a dozen or so people waiting. I was told that the person in charge had not shown up. I waited for a full hour, after which the guard finally told us the staff weren't coming at all, since the closure time had already passed so we'd have to come back next week. One gal in line said she'd come in November and had the same experience, waiting until after closing time, but at least was served eventually but she also stated that the FBI later rejected the prints, saying they weren't readable! She said she'd have to pay to do them again, even though the first set was worthless.
This is appalling service. Considering the incredibly limited hours and general lack of availability of fingerprinting services in Brussels, I would think they'd make the effort to ensure someone was present for this brief window every week, and that they knew how to do their job. This is a paid service, so if the staff don't show up, it hurts the embassy's business. What kind of operation is this?!response / report this review -

hoe krijg je papieren in orde, als je elk uur andere informatie krijgt. Mijn zoon stond er voor de deur, had een afspraak (en nog anderen ook) en dan plots worden ze voor de 2 de keer weggestuurd. Ik begrijp dat het onzekere dagen zijn, maar dat is voor iedereen zo. Als jongvolwassenen op deze manier moeten kennis maken met deze instanties, vind ik het spijtig. Het is zo al moeilijk genoeg allemaal om één en ander in orde te krijgen. We weten gewoon niet waar we correcte informatie kunnen krijgen nu en hoe hun papieren ooit in orde kunnen komen?

From the Brussels central station, US embassy in Belgium is within walking distance. It should take around 12/15 minutes. From the central station, ask someone(what I did) for Park Van Brussels you should reach the park by about 8/10 minutes and then cross ityou will be able to see embassy of many different countriesfind the US flag wala yes you did it
