Chittagong Circuit House and Zia Memorial Museum Chittagong Circuit House and is situated near Chittagong Stadium at Kazir Dewri and 3 km. North end of the Zero point. President Zia was killed on this circuit house on the date of May 30th 1981 in the room no 04. Most of Zia’s activities including his household goods are preserved in this museum. Actually the house was built by British for their government’s high officials’ as there resident; this house was also used by Pakistani army as a torturing center during the liberation war of Bangladesh. Pak army killed thousands of Bengladeshi in this house. Still the building looking very good and you will taste the architecture of the then British period.

Zia Memorial Museum consists of twelve galleries, of which all of them are dedicated to the memory of President Ziaur Rahman. Items found in these galleries include portraits of the president, the actual microphone and transmitter over which the president delivered his Declaration of Independence speech, the table and chair from where he ruled the country.

    This place has some history.
Major ziaur rahman, an ex president of Bangladesh was assassinated in this place.
There's a memorial here for this incidence.

    It is still active though.
It is used as a government rest house called Chittagong circuit house.
The place is really nice, naturally decorated and architecturally beautiful.
Rooms are like any government guest house rooms. Enough good to stay.

It's located 3 km north of Zero Point. Here's a description of various activities, as well as preserving the personal content they use & the architecture of the English period is very bright.
