Thakurgaon Old Airport was built during World War 2 for British military aviation support. It has the longest runway in airports in BD. It is nowadays abandoned, local people sometimes use it for drying crops. The airstrip and adjacent area now becomes a open wide place for refreshment as well as having some historical values.
