It is an attractive mosque at Egarosindur, and was built sometime around 1680AD. Egarosindur is a village in Kishoreganj, situated on the east side of the river Brahmaputra. Historians believe that Egarosindur was inhabited since 1000BC. The spectacular battle between Isa Khan and Mansingh was held here in the fort of Egarosindur.

Its a historical place located in Pakundia Upazilla(পাকুন্দিয়া উপজেলা) under kishorganj zilla(কিশোরগঞ্জ জেলা).It's an ancient mosque with a small area and a guest room called Balakhana( বালাখানা).This mosque is founded by a Land Lord(জমিদার) in the era of Subedar Shayestha khan (সুবেদার শায়েস্তা খান).It is approximately 400 years old but it's still beautiful. Though it faced some damage but The Govt. announced it as a historical building (ঐতিহাসিক ভবন). This mosque has a pond in front of it. It is beautifully decorated with Teracutta( টেরাকোটা). There are different shape and design in Teracutta and it's really wonderful. Many years have passed but the mosque is still beautiful and bearing the historical culture of Mughol Empire(মুঘল সাম্রাজ্য). The mosque is known as Sheikh Mahmud Shah Jama Mosque (শেখ মাহমুদ শাহ জামে মসজিদ).The people of this village feel very proud of this mosque and the use it as a mosque for prayers.
The transport system to go there isn't pleasant but many people go there to see that beautiful historical ancient mosque. It is in Egarosindur (এগারসিন্দুর) village.

This is a historical terracotta decoration Mosque. we are visit there 08 November 2014. Its a beautiful Mosque but there are no highlight the place. also transport system so bad. Its fully rural area.

We had visited this place on 14/08/2015 (Friday). Nice Historical Places. This building at Egarosindur may be created on around 1680AD.. It has nice terracotta decoration. Need to highlight the place and need to improve the communication way of transport.
