Though in this map the name of the bus stop is Shapla Chottor Bus Stop, Most people call this place motijheel bus stop. This is one of the well known place & junction point in Dhaka city. You can get every kind of bus here for inter city & outer city buses. Also you can get every kind of vehicles from here. This is a commercial area so usually this is a crowdy place except Friday & Saturday because those two days are government holidays.

Heart of the city, very much crowded in working day, huge traffic. All types of vehicles are moving here. Bangladesh Bank is situated within few yards.

Tourists are to be kept alert while moving here freely.

Shapla Square (Bengali: শাপলা চত্ত্বর, Shapla Chottor) is a huge sculpture at the heart of Motijheel near the center of Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh. It depicts a Shapla (water lily, the species Nymphaea nouchali), the national flower of Bangladesh. The sculpture is surrounded by a fountain.

The location also marks a mass grave of the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971.
