Its a railway station. From Shaistagonj to Hobigonj its the only railway station. Its a very crowdy and noisy place.

A railway station along Dhaka-Sylhet railway line which used to be a junction before. Since the beginning of the 19th century, Habiganj-Balla shuttle train used to run through Saistagonj. The shuttle train stopped operating in 2005. The age old station building is being rebuilt recently. However, the attitude of the corrupted, insincere railway staffs has changed insignificantly.
