  শাহ সুজা মসজিদ ৩৫২ বছর ধরে কুমিল্লা জেলায় স্ব মহিমায় টিকে আছে। এই মসজিদ উপমহাদেশের প্রাচীন মসজিদ গুলোর মধ্যে অন্যতম। মসজিদটি মূগলটুলিতে অবস্থিত। ১৬৫৮ সালে মসজিদটি নির্মাণ করা হয় বলে ধারণা করা হয়। মসজিদটির আয়তন খুব একটা বড় না হলে ও এর কৃষ্টি, ইতিহাস, ঐতিহ্য এবং সার্বিক অবয়ব আভিজাত্যের প্রতীক বহন করে। স্রষ্টার প্রতি ভক্তি, ধর্ম অনুরাগ ও রুচিশীলতার প্রমান বহন করে এই মসজিদটি। বর্তমানে মসজিদটির মাঝে কোন শিলালিপি নেই।
  কিভাবে যাবেনঃ কুমিল্লা কান্দিরপাড় হতে আটো-রিকশা বা রিক্সা করে যেতে পারবেন। শাহ সুজা মসজিদ বললে সে কেউ দেখিয়ে দিবে। ওখান থেকে গোমতী নদীরপাড় যাওয়া যায়।

  hah Shuja is not known to have made extensive conquests, though he appeared to have sent campaigns against Hijli and Tippera. Bahadur Khan, a habitual rebel, ruled Hijli (Medinipur district of West Bengal) in the southwestern corner of Bengal. In Shuja’s time Bahadur Khan delayed payment of revenues; prompt action was taken by Shuja as a result of it.
  
  Bahadur Khan had to accept defeat, but he promised to pay more revenues than before. Shuja’s war with Tippera is mentioned in the Rajmala, the traditional history of the kings of Tippera. The Raja was defeated, but he made peace by ceding a slice of his territory bordering on modern Comilla. Shuja commemorated his victory by building a mosque, which is still extant in good condition and bears his name, on the bank of the river Gumti near Comilla town.

  Shah Shuja Mosque stands on three domes. The mosque was laid down in 1650 AD.
