Once upon a time this was the largest dairy farm in all over the asian continent. Then for the purpose of establishment of Jahangirnagar University a large portion of land was acquired. With the help of German technical expertise it grew so fast during early 50's. Now its owned and run by Government of People's Republic of Bangladesh. There is a research Institute over there. Still this is the largest farm in Bangladesh. People can buy fresh milk every morning at the least price.

Entry restricted!! One must have the proper authority to visit the whole farm. Basically it is a Govt. Farm where research, training Facilities are available. There are many pure breeds and cross breed cattle which provides pure milk and semen for artificial insemination.

Savar dairy farm is located just opposite to the Jahangir nagar University.It covers about 762 acres area and the biggest government dairy farm.More than thousand cattle belongs to this farm.Dairy milk processing room is found there.Its also famous for semen collection and processing from bull.The natural view of this farm is outstanding whice have huge area of pasture.

Natural view of this farm is outstanding. open landscape inside the farm give touch of grassland and fress air. samll group can make cycling and riding but have to follow some rules and priciples by the authourity.

Wonderful place. Here you can buy cow milk(up to 3 litre per person) from Monday to Thursday at taka 50. Large area along with many cowsheds. Different types of grass are grown there. There also a school named Dairy Firm High School. Production of Milk, Meat and to filled the nutrition level is their motto.
