Come here to get the only view of the ship breaking in action. We took Uber from Chittagong and then rented a boat from local fisherman 1000tk for 30 mins to get close to the ships. Only way you can do it.

This place is used as a water transportation facility between sandwip and chittagong. There are places for fishing trawler anchorage. Some shipbreaking yard can be seen from this place. This place looks stunning. Specially in the afternoon. With the sun setting in the background it's an unforgettable scenery. The bridge is around 400 meter long. Sometimes around the monsoon the water level is so high that the bridge nearly drowns. It gets very windy here. So wear clothes considering that. You can enjoy a wonderful afternoon here.

This ghat is the main pilgrims road in Chittagong for people of ship ghat in sandwip.Averyday a huge people travel sandwip to chittagong. The most popular ferry ghat of sandwip island. Best place for sunset view. It's have a long bridge. There is very useful communication medium for sandwip channel.
It's a launch,boat,ship terminal to go sandwip.
This is a journey through the spread boots, ships,service boots.A huge people used to work in the ghat.

Tickets for shondwip is available here. But local people don't maintain queue for ticket purchasing. Tickets are of two type in winter as per my own experience. One for BIWTC service, which is cheaper compared to Speed Boat ticket. You have to get aboard on a small boat from the jetty to BIWTC service where you might have to pay some extra excluded from the ticket charge. On holidays there's rush and getting a ticket is tough there.

Nice place. Not so far from main town. The ghat has a long bridge into the sea. Its is really awsome to enjoy sunset from here. There are boats to roam in the sea at a very cheap rate. (Per person 20tk only). There are no restaurants, only some tea stalls, grocer and fruit shop.

The only terminal of human transportation to & from Sandwip. Speed boat is available to cross the Sandwip channel which cost tk.300 per person and 25 minutes. There is waiting room or toilets. Beware of rainy season.
