Saidpur Railway Station is one of the oldest railway stations in the country. It is located in Saidpur thana of Nilphamari district. This is a small railway station but clean and aesthetic. But there is a lack of adequate waiting room, toilets and canteens. Its platform is very high and it is almost parallel to the train. Several intercity, mail and local trains operate from Saidpur Railway Station to different destinations of the country including Dhaka, Khulna.

This is a nice and beautiful train station ever I seen. I think one of the best station. The station area is very clean and Over saturated.

This is one of the biggest station also. The Northern part of Bangladesh it is a very quiet & lovely train station.

Usually it's very busy on early in the morning & evening. This is also called very important because of it's machinery. This is only one station where train part are manufactured.

This is one of the famous and beautiful station in our locality. I think this is the major train machinery station in Bangladesh.

Saidpur Railway Station also a charming view for Travellers. People like this. This is one of the busy Station.

Usually it busy in the morning, Noon and Evening.

Many train go to Chilahati as their last Destination. Otherwise it goes another way to Dhaka, Khulna, Rajshahi etc.

Spent twelve hours in this rail station. Some intercity and few local trains run through this route. The ticket selling counters are disorganized. Due to schedule jams, the tickets are not given beforehand, only few minutes before a train would enter the station. There are proper sitting arrangement. They do not have well washroom facility. Good restaurants are also far away from the station.

Nice station. The platform is very nice. The train hight & platform is same. So passengers easily up & down from the train. Here 1 mosque so passengers prayers anytime.

It was one of the largest railway Junction of Bangladesh. It was but isn't prevailing now since lack of care from the concerned authority. By the way it's neat & clean in comparison with other stations. It has got direct trains to Khulna & Dhaka & Rajshahi too.

The Saidpur railway station, the oldest one in the country, is gradually losing its attraction to the passengers as it cannot cater to the need of the commuters for comfortable journey. The railway station is in grip of various problems that stand in the way of rendering best service to the passengers.
The problems include lack of a spacious waiting room, well furnished shed, required number of toilets, worn out building, narrow platforms and inadequate lighting system.
The station set up on 3000 acres of land in 1800 with a large number of red buildings has not been renovated even after the liberation of the country. After the partition, an Indian goods train and a passenger train used to ply from Cooch Bihar to Kolkata every day via Saidpur. The plying of the two trains stopped following the war between Pakistan and India in 1965.

Not different from average Bangladeshi rail station. Untidy, Crowdy, lack of sitting arrangements and luggage security. Infrastructure should be upgraded. There should be unisexual toilet facility with necessary hygienic facilities. There should be canteen and quick bite shops.

Saidpur (Syedpur) (bn:সৈয়দপুর Saiy.adpur) is a city of Nilphamari district in Rangpur Division of Bangladesh . The city becomes a very important communication hub for adjoining major district headquarters. Saidpur Airport is one of the domestic airports in Bangladesh. The Saidpur Railway Workshop, established in 1870, is the largest railway workshop in Bangladesh and was the major railway workshop for Assam-Bengal railway.[1] The city has historically been an Urdu-speaking community with close ties to Bihar, from which many residents originate, particularly the town of Munger. Since Bangladeshi independence, Urdu has declined as the Bihari community either integrated into Bangladeshi society, adopting Bengali, or migrated to India or Pakistan
