This is one of the 1st class fire stations (There are three classes in Bangladesh Fire Service) in puran dhaka.They also have a river section and ambulance section. Recently two bike petroling unit has been added in this station. This station also contains staff quarters. More than 40 staff family lives in here. They also have a quick response record. If you are in old town in dhaka near the Buriganga river and you are in a disaster then you know whom to call :).
