10 years back this used be the most happening place in Dhaka. People used to come only to hang around if not for shopping.There used to be some good quality food shops and you could find almost all the required items either under one roof or around. But now the charm is gone and whenever I go I see some of the shops are always closed and since there are many more malls and shopping options around people live to roam rather than come here.

One of the oldest high class shopping center in Dhaka. Well known for ladies ware specially Shari and there pieces. A very good restaurant is in top floor.

Rapa plaza is a famous shopping mall in Dhanmondi. Once upon a time it was regarded as an ideal place for shopping, however after the commencement of other modern shopping center it losts some of its appeal to the shoppers. A number of local brand shops are offering variety of products which are really good. There are some good footware houses who sells exotic shoes too. It's a good hangout place for the younger generation.
