A reserved forest, about an hours drive away from Sreemongol town. A very interesting place for hikes or nature lovers. Don't have a detailed idea about the Biodiversity here, but we saw some monkeys during our visit. You can visit the forest or camp in it with the help of local guides. The biggest attraction is the HumHum waterfall deep inside the forest. A place of heavenly beauty.

We trekked through the forest. Most of us were not experienced trekkers, so it was quite difficult. the views at some of the spots were nice, but the stream and the waterfalls were the highlight.

Another name of the spot is "Lauwachara National Park". The place is renowned for its deepness. A railway track passed through the middle of the forest and it makes the forest more attractive the forest. The railway track is one of the shooting spot of Oscar wined Hollywood Movie "Around the world 80 days".

Location: Rajkandi Store Woods is situated at Kamalganj Upazila of Moulvibazar locale. It is around 80 km far from Sreemangal town.

Generally from Sreemangal you need to enlist a jeep or whatever other vehicles to reach Madhabpur which takes 60 minutes. When you go through the wilderness you unquestionably locate the boundless magnificence. There are different approaches to reach Rajkandi. From Sreemangal take a transport or CNG for Bhanugach or Kamalganj. After that take another CNG for "Champarai Tea Garden". Kalabon is a town exceptionally close to Champarai. It's a ever green lovely place. It's better to go there by Jeep as the roads is not good. You have to take permission and a guide prior to enter the forest.

Located almost at the edge of Bangladesh-India border, this reserve forest is an ideal place for trekkers. There are tracks for both moderate and difficult levels to trek through the forest. There are some primary forests as well, inclined with the planted forests. Sadly, there is no proper place to stay except for a bungalow maintained by the Forest Dept. So, if the bungalow is not booked in advance, one might have problem staying overnight there. The village don't have electricity yet, however, many people are using solar panels these days for their electricity supply. Which is a good thing I would say, because the village still is not ruined by the modern civilization and we still could see the path with the help of moon light, and it was not even a full moon night. I enjoyed my trekking through the forest thoroughly and would love to go there again and again,.
