চলছিলাম জনবিরল অথচ ঝা চকচকে এক রাস্তা ধরে বকশিগঞ্জ থেকে হালুয়াঘাট। দু'পাশে ছোট ছোট টিলা, মাঝে মাঝে ধানক্ষেত আর দুপাশেই সবুজ অরণ্যানী। মাঝে মাঝে ভারত থেকে ঢুকেছে একেকটা পাহাড়ি স্রোতস্বিনী। ভর দুপুর, খিদেয় পেট চো চো করছে। অথচ একটা খাবার দোকান তো দূরে থাকুক নজরে পড়ছে না একটা গাড়িও। শেষে বারোমারী বাজারে পাওয়া গেলো একটা ভাতঘর। নতুন আলু দিয়ে দেশী মুরগীর পাতলা ঝোল, ডিমের সালুন আর ডাল। সাথে টাটকা পেয়াজ, লেবু, কাচামরিচসমেত ধোয়া উঠা ভাত। অমৃত। পেটের খিদে মিটলে মনের খিদে মেটানোর ফুসরত মিললো। ভাতঘরের ওপাশেই বারোমারী ক্রিশ্চিয়ান মিশন; এলাকার সংখ্যাগুরু গারো জনগোষ্ঠীদের জন্যই। ভেতরে ঢুকলাম। মিশন হাউজ, স্টুডেন্টস ডর্ম, সিস্টার হাউজসহ নানা স্থাপনা একটা টিলার উপর। সযতনে গড়া বাগান ফুলে ফুলে ছাওয়া। তবে আমার সবচে ভালো লাগলো জেসাসের অবয়বখানা আর স্মিতহাস্যভরা মুখমন্ডল মাঝে মায়াময় চোখদুটো। মনে পড়লো অঞ্জনের ম্যারি এনের লাইন, "নোনা দেয়াল থেকে যিশু ছলছল চোখে হাত তুলে আশ্বাস দেয়; এখনো!"

Really nice and peaceful place 150 feet above from the sealevel. Take your own blanket and pillow if you're visiting the pilgrimage. And look out for the mountain leeches. There are lots of them.

It's a beautiful church, high above the hill. The path way to the church is very adventurous. The surrounding nature is absolute beauty that any one can experience.
