মসজিদে নিয়মিত জামাতে নামাজ আদায় করা সব মুসলমানের দায়িত্ব ও কর্তব্য। মসজিদে জামাতে নামাজের গুরুত্বও অনেক। এক ওয়াক্ত নামাজের সওয়াব ২৭ গুণ বাড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয়। রাসুল (সা.) বলেন, ‘জামাতের সঙ্গে নামাজ আদায়কারী একাকী নামাজ পড়া অপেক্ষা ২৭ গুণ বেশি মর্যাদার অধিকারী। ’ (বুখারি, হাদিস : ৬১৯)
