Background of the Establishment of the University:
Pabna University of Science and Technology is located on the south side of Pabna Nagorbary Highway. The government passed an Act on 15 July 2001 to establish a science and technology university in Pabna. The university would be located in the district of Pabna. It may be noted here that the university has been set up under the project of establishing 12 science and technology universities in the 12 old district towns of Bangladesh. The present Government has passed a new scheme namely, Establishment of Pabna University of Science and Technology with a cost of Tk. 9600.00 Lakh. Pabna is a centrally located district town in northern Bangladesh with a long historical and cultural heritage. In this backdrop and in consideration of the genuine need for expansion of university education in the northern region, the institution will meet the needs of local higher education. The university focuses on science and technology. This university will play an innovative role in providing need based higher education, training and research. The proposed university will be committed to maintaining and raising the quality and standard of university education in the country and will educate students by maintaining international standards. This university, through its practical and need-based curricula, will produce highly qualified trained scientists and technologists for national as well as the international job markets.
The university will offer higher education in science and technology based subjects for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This newly established university occupies an area of about 30 acres, with a number of multi-storied buildings. The university has already drawn the attention of brilliant students of the region.

I take part in admission test of this varsity in 2015 and got chance . But dont take admission . nice, big ,and growing up varsity . Good for education but have very less seats for admission
