Do you have any iconic place that represents your city? -Yes,we have.Without any doubt it is the 'Shokuni Lake'.It is the nucleus of Madaripur city.There are a few offices,hospitals,mosques,restaurants located around the lake.This is a place where you can breathe fresh air in the afternoon and have walk in the morning.It becomes congested during major vacations and a festive mood overwhelms the place.

Actually this is an suburban park, not looking like a park but a crowding place. As the people of this city has no other entertaining option so they use this lake for passing leisure and arranging various social event like pahela baishak and many more.
