Chairman ghat ferry terminal is very useful for the peoples of islands Hatiya & others island. Islands r in remote zone so men use only water transport by which they can come to the main land, there r lots of speed boat wooden boat & only one BIWTA ferry.

Zero accommodation. But provides way to nijhum island.
If you want to go there, contact any local for the timing of high tide and low tide. Water transport is solely dependent on that especially in the dry seasons. Better to reserve a trawler if many people are going together.
You will face very tight timing if you intend to go and comeback in a single day.response / report this review -

People who wanna travel to Hatiya from Dhaka may use the alternative 'Launch' service from Sadarghat, Dhaka, because this place is a great mess. You have to suffer a lot if you use this route. Irregular 'Seatruck' service (depends on flow and ebb-tide, though this is a natural occurrence, you have to suffer due to this), overcrowded seatruck and most of all, this route becomes dangerous during monsoon. I would recommend people from Dhaka to avoid this route and use the much convenient and even luxurious 'Launch' service from Sadarghat.

Water transport available here to go Hatia and Nijhum Dip. This place is known as Chairman Ghat.

Beautiful place. Best time to visit here is October-March, Bit risky in the Monsoon time.
